In the early months of 2024, Leigh Community Choir was hard at work preparing a new set of songs for a concert at Leigh Parish Church on 18th March.  It was a first outing for 'Half The World Away', the feel good theme tune of The Royle Family.  The programme also included a selection of soloists, including Jack (see photo) who sang 'Fields of Gold' by Sting.  The audience also particularly enjoyed 'Blackbird' by George Harrison, sung by Abby, Ellie and Carrie.

Late Spring was all about Leigh Choir Festival, a collaboration between Leigh Community Choir and Bedford High School.  We were also joined for the day by our friends from Cleveleys, The Coasters.  As well as a performance by each choir to close the festival, earlier in the day, singers also took part in two workshops led by Winnie Kibula, a former LCC member, and by a very special guest - Jennifer John, from Liverpool who taught us one of her own compositions.
