It was a busy but enjoyable Summer season for the singers of Leigh Community Choir who were out and about supporting local events.  In late June, we gathered in Civic Square to contribute to the Armed Forces Day celebrations alongside other local acts.  The following weekend we were invited to sing at the Lancashire Mining Museum as visitors toured this historic site.   Our members also enjoyed listening to the ukulele band and the brass band whilst socialising in the sun - nice refreshments too!

Later in July, Leigh Community Choir was privileged to sing at the opening of the Veteran's Hub at Spinners Mill.  Some important guests were in attendance, including MP Jo Platt and Diane Hawkins, the Lord- Lieutenant of Greater Manchester - both complimentary of our singing.

To round off the Summer, we were back in Civic Square for Leigh Food Festival alongside other local acts, including our friends from Bedford High School.
